The West Linn-Wilsonville Education Foundation Supports Students & Teachers

All donations made to the West Linn-Wilsonville Education Foundation are used to fund teaching positions in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District to keep class sizes at effective teaching levels in every classroom within the District’s 16 schools.

When school funding was centralized in Salem in 1990, all Oregon school districts, including West Linn-Wilsonville, lost the ability to set their own budgets and became limited to the funds that the state allocates to them each year on a per-student basis. This put many of our programs at risk.

Because the Education Foundation is the only organization able to designate money specifically for classroom teaching positions, donating to the Foundation helps ensure that our children’s education is not compromised by any political climate or financial downturn in the real estate market and continues to be one of the very best in Oregon.

Your donations are used to hire new teachers for the WLWV School District. The Education Foundation is 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our tax ID# is 93-1113774. All or part of your donation may be tax deductible as a charitable donation. Please check with your tax adviser.
